BAHUBALI was an epic Indian action film, directed by R.S. Rajamouli, which created a thunderstorm in the world cinema industry. It hit the screens as two different parts, and set many new records. Not only Bahubali, Ballaaldev and Devasena, but Sivakami Devi also was the favourite of audience. Now when the prequel of the movie is being planned, the storyline will focus the life of Sivakami, and will be released as a webseries, through Netflix.
The series will focus on the childhood and young ages of Sivakami, which will be portrayed by Wamiqa Gabbi, quiet familiar face to Malayalis. The budget of the project is estimated to be 200 crores, and is also reported to be roughly based on the book - "THE RISE OF SIVAKAMI", written by Anand Neelakandan. R.S. Rajamouli and Prasad Devanini also assosiate with Netflix in the venture. The web series will be of 9 episodes, each of which will have one hour duration. Besides Wamiqa, Rahul Bose, Atul Kulkarni and many other actors portray major roles. Deva Katta and Praveen Sattaaru are the directors of the project.
