The two-day extravaganza was officially inaugurated by Mr. S. Muralidharan, Chairman of the Technical Official's Committee at the Badminton Association of India and Vice President of both the Badminton Association of India and the Kerala Olympic Association. In his opening address, Mr. Muralidharan lauded the Elite Group's initiative and highlighted the significant role sports play in nurturing discipline, unity, and wellness within corporate culture.
Joining him on the dais were Mr. R. Harikumar, Managing Director, and Ms. Hema Mody, Marketing Manager of Elite Group. Both Mr. Muralidharan and Ms. Mody were honored with the Salute of Honour, symbolizing the formal commencement of the sporting festivities.
Employees from sub-companies including Elite-Nashat, Classic-Global-UPC, Nalexco-Gutmann, and Alumill participated in a wide range of events. The excitement began early with a pre-event cricket tournament held on February 23, setting the stage for the main competition.
April 5th focused on indoor events such as badminton, chess, and carroms, showcasing mental agility and precision. April 6th amped up the energy with outdoor contests including cricket, football, track races, volleyball, and the crowd-favorite tug of war.
After an exhilarating series of events, Elite-Nashat emerged as the overall champions with 126 points, followed by Classic-Global-UPC with 84 points, Alumill with 81 points, and Nalexco-Gutmann with 16 points.
The event concluded with a heartfelt closing ceremony, featuring a prize distribution and warm appreciation for all participants, volunteers, and organizers whose dedication made the event a resounding success.
The Elite Sports Meet 2025 was not just a celebration of athletic prowess—it was a tribute to the unity, enthusiasm, and collective spirit that define the Elite Group of Companies.
