Sreekumaran Thampi Celebrates 60 Years of Lyric Writing; Ajman Hosts ‘Presence, Dialogue & Musical Ecstasy’ on October 31

AJMAN: In celebration of Kerala Piravi, the World Malayali Council (WMC) Middle East Region Bhashavedi is hosting a grand cultural evening to honour legendary Malayalam lyricist and filmmaker Sreekumaran Thampi as he completes 60 golden years in the film and music industry. The special event, titled ‘Sreekumaran Thampi: Presence, Dialogue & Musical Ecstasy’ (Sannidhyam Sambhashanam Ganalahari), will take place on Friday, October 31 at 6:00 PM at the Global Indian School, Ajman.
The centerpiece of the evening will be a comprehensive two-hour interactive journey through Sreekumaran Thampi’s illustrious cinematic career and timeless classics in his direct presence. Poet and broadcaster Sreekumar Mukhathala will lead this cultural exploration alongside him, with popular radio personality and singer Dr. Vippal Murali serving as the host of the program.
Renowned entrepreneur Dr. B.R. Shetty will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. World Malayali Council Global Chairman Issac John Pattaniparambil, alongside leading socio-cultural, artistic, and community figures from across the UAE, will also attend.
A vibrant dance and musical performance spotlighting popular evergreen tracks penned by Sreekumaran Thampi will be staged during the event, Program General Convener Anita Santhosh stated in an official press release. The organizers added that the evening promises an unforgettable cultural tribute for music enthusiasts and the Malayali diaspora across the Emirates.
