Grow Fresh , Eat Healthy ; Paresh Purushothaman's GreenOponics revolutionise agriculture sector.

Children often can initiate innovative thoughts in our minds, which when worked upon, becomes a mesmerizing reality. GreenOponics has one such success story. Paresh Purushothaman, an expatriate engineer from Thrissur, Kerala was running 'Happy Holdings', which dealt with acoustic and heat insulation works, sign materials as well as rubber products. A project done by his child on hydroponics, the new technology of soil less agriculture struck his mind, and there began the story of GreenOponics. Being a person who consider agriculture and farming as a responsibility rather than a task, he developed a proper system, by which Hydroponics can be spread across UAE. 


The attempts are to bring farming and agriculture closer to the people, who live in conditions with only limited area. Being soil less, it doesn't create the usual mess that one have after dealing with farming activities. The hydroponics set up created by Paresh require only less area, may be a small balcony. The basic idea behind it goes like - GROW ANYTHING, ANYWHERE AND ANYTIME.  Customised hydroponics systems are available as per the needs of the buyers, and there is a very efficient customer care service, who can provide solutions to all the queries. 

The most important speciality of GreenOponics is that it provide a complete plug -n- play systems, with all necessary accessories and support. Many plants, including mint, Kale, Cauliflower, tomato etc. can be grown using this system, as a result of which one can get fresh and pesticide - free vegetables in their kitchen. The adverse climatic conditions of UAE, and the lack of soil no longer pose threat to food security. 

GreenOponics have, till date installed small scale hydroponics units in many schools of UAE, and also provide large scale greenhouse and hydroponics units, wherever necessary. They help the urban population of UAE to rekindle their passion for agricultural activities, even in the midst of their busy office works. Since climate change is posing threat to the human existence, the first and foremost area to be affected will be food security. Collaboration of novel technologies with agriculture, can offer a permanent solution for this grave threat to humanity. Several world renowned agriculturists are also in touch with GreenOponics, as technical advisors.

Paresh Purushothaman has spent almost ten years of his 25 years of expatriate life,  conducting research about this novel methodology, and has now reached greater heights. He was honoured with many awards, for his valuable contribution, promoting sustainability and food security to the forthcoming generations. His better half Smitha, who is an engineering graduate from Nagpur University now looks after the agriculture related activities. Together they have given a new life to the dying agricultural practices in Urban population, and spread the idea of "Eat Fresh and Live healthy" among the masses.
